BUZNET project has started

On March 19th-20th, 2018, scientific and practical seminar took place in Nukus branch of Tashkent state agrarian university within the framework of the project 586000-EPP-1-2017 PT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “BUZNET – B-learning Uzbekistan Veterinary Network” of ERASMUS+ International Capacity Building.
The aims of the project are preparing the best specialists on veterinary specialty of Uzbekistan, implementing mixed education about teaching veterinary at HEIs, for acting these aims the following HEIs work together and change experience: 4 agricultural HEIs of Uzbekistan (Tashkent state agrarian university, Andijan agricultural institute, Samarkand agricultural institute, Nukus branch of Tashkent state agrarian university) and 4 agricultural HEIs of Europe (Universities of Pisa and Padova, Italy, Estonian University of Life Sciences, University of Porto, Portugal). It is not only changing experience in veterinary but also in industry (cattle-rising farms, milk companies and livestock-breeding farms).
Within the framework of the project the following guests came to Nukus branch of Tashkent state agrarian university: Augusto Faustino and Maria Graça Lopes from University of Porto, Portugal; David Arney from Estonian University of Life Sciences, Estonia; Stefano Romagnoli and Antonio Mollo from University of Padova, Italy; Ilkhomjon Sobirov and Oybek Rizayev from Andijan Agricultural Institute; Shavkat Hasanov, Nuriddin Ruzikulov and Abduvali Khushvaktov from Samarkand Agricultural Institute; Gayrat Mengliev and Botir Ulmasov fromTashkent State Agrarian University.
On March 19th, opening ceremony of the project was held at the conference hall of the branch. European and Uzbek members of the project, professors and teachers of the Faculty Zootechnics of the branch and students of the specialty veterinary took part in the ceremony. Director of the branch E.Toreniyazov opened the ceremony with congratulation and introduced the participants. He made a speech about the history of Nukus branch of TSAU, its today’s life and structure, and works which are being done about teaching veterinary. He also mentioned about international cooperation of the branch and projects of working together with foreign scientific institutions. He congratulated participants on Navruz holiday.
Then, member of the group of experts about developing high education – B.Paluanov made presentation about Projects of Erasmus+ at HEIs of Karakalpakstan and professor of Porto University – Augusto Faustino about BUZNET project. After the coffee break which was organized by the branch, guests visited museum of the branch and exhibition which was made by students for Navruz.
The second part of the day was spent by practice. Guests visited the livestock-breeding complex of Xojeli region together with the director of the branch and members of the project. They saw works of livestock-breeding, feeding them, treating and breeding in there. Then they went to Republic Veterinary Laboratory in Nukus and talked with laboratory workers about laboratory instruments, works in laboratory and illnesses of pets (cattle, goat, sheep) nowadays in Karakalpakstan.
Project members visited the milk company “Qoniratbay-Mehri” in Nukus and were introduced works of controlling milk in there.
On the second day of the seminar – on March 20th guests visited the livestock-breeding farm of Karaozek region. The manager of the farm – A.Kurbanov met them and introduced them with works of treating cattle and methods of breeding them. He also mentioned about new methods of treating goats which give a lot of milk and one humpback camels, and showed the animals which are grown at the farm.
The second part of the day was continued by sightseeing. Members of the project visited Karakalpak state art museum named after Savitskiy in Nukus. They were introduced with exhibits of the museum and watched preparation of Navruz holiday in front of the museum.

The Meeting with the professors and students of Japanese Society of Civil Engineering within the framework the scientific and practical visit on Environmental engineering at Nukus Branch of Tashkent State Agrarian University

On the 6th of March at Nukus Branch of Tashkent State Agrarian University welcomed the Japanese scientists’ group consisting the professors and students of Japanese Society of Civil Engineering within the framework of the 19th scientific and practical visit on Environmental Engineering. The group members – professor Kazuyuki Oshita, PhD students Satoru Yukioka and Temur Khojanazarov, Master students Zheng Zhang and Taishi Ushijima from Kyoto University, Professor Tetsuya Kusuda, PhD student Hiroyuki Honda from Kyushu University, undergraduate student Shogo Yoshida from Gifu University were accepted by the Director Elmurat Toreniyazov and during this meeting he said to the guests about the structure and specialities of Nukus Branch of TashSAU as well as the scientific researches implementing in the institution. The director also mentioned on international relations made by Nukus Branch of TashSAU, especially, with the Japanese scientific institutions such as OYO corporation, Tokio university of Agriculture and Technology and Chiba University. In turn, professor Kazuyuki Oshita and Tetsuya Kusuda expressed that the goals of the scientific and practical visit on Environmental engineering of Japanese Society of Civil Engineering are to meet with the professor-teachers and students of Nukus Branch of TashSAU and discuss about the problems of agriculture and environmental science occurring in Karakalpakstan. As well as to present the results of scientific researches which are done by Japanese Society of Civil Engineering and Kyoto, Kyushu and Gifu universities. In addition, they hoped to make bilateral cooperation between Nukus Branch of TashSAU and Japanese Society of Civil Engineering as well as three Japanese universities. Then the Japanese scientists’ group visited the Museum of agriculture and veterinary of the Branch.
That day the meeting was organized with the Japanese group in the center of informational resource of Nukus Branch of TashSAU. It was participated the professor-teachers and students. In the meeting the Japanese scientists made the presentations. Doctoral student of Kyushu University Hiroyuki Honda mentioned about his scientific work, inserting carbonate anhydride into mountain rocks, stones under the indicated temperature and pressure. His scientific work is used in some developed countries (including Japan) by investigating patience of the air pressure of stone in keeping carbonate anhydride in mountain rocks and underground not producing it to atmosphere.
Doctoral student of Kyoto University Satoru Yukioka made presentation about his research of engineering and technology. He said about disadvantage of hard and micro (small) plastics to environment. He explained results of laboratory experiments which he gathered from the roads of Nepal, Singapore and Japan.
Professor of Kyoto University Kazuyuki Oshita explained his research about new technologies of using natural fertilizers. Professor of Kyushu University Tetsuya Kusuda made presentation about the Aral Sea and water management. He gave his scientific opinions about saving the Aral Sea and mentioned scientific results about using land and water correctly, creating water policy between the republics and implementation of innovational methods of using water in agriculture. Also, he told about the technology of watering by drops which is used in Japan today.
Japanese guests and staff of the branch took photos together and said goodbye.

English party

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PD -1875 as of 10 December 2012, “on Measures on further Improvement of Teaching of Foreign Languages” was the essence of the country’s reforms in the field of foreign language learning. Since the adoption of the decree all the work in this area has been intensified and major reforms in modernization of teaching foreign languages at all levels of continuous education have started.
In accordance with the Presidential decree English teachers of Nukus branch of TashSAU organized some measures for students to provide approach to learn English.
As the saying goes “who knows languages, he knows the world” today demand for learning foreign languages is arising day by day. More opportunities given to young people to speak English fluently.
As an example of this under the leadership of the chair “Karakalpak, uzbek and foreign languages and primary organization of the youth union of the branch was held a program on the 12th of March which is called ” English party” . The party was opened by the leader of the English circle Abadan Reypova. The participants of the circle presented their humoristic shows, joyful dances and sang English songs, as well as the team of the branch “Agro life” presented their humoristic shows.
Such kind of shows, measures, programs and activities will enhance students’ horizon and provide a thought –provoking, purposeful approach to learn English. Through such kind of measures or different activities in class students will certainly absorb more information as they learn, review and retain concepts in our classroom. Plus, they will be enjoying themselves at the same time.
At the end of the party the leader of the primary organization of the branch Jetkinshek Ibraimov thanked and rewarded all the participants of the party.
