As previously reported, today, June 14, as part of the 2nd day of the workshop training on “Climate Smart Agriculture in Uzbekistan” in the context of climate change in Uzbekistan, a trip to the Muynak district and the Museum of the History of the Aral Sea was planned.
Based on this, the seminar participants, led by the rector of the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, Berdiyor Zhollibekov, visited the Muynak district.
They first examined the Saksovul fields planted in the 1990s on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea and discussed the harmful factors hindering the growth and development of plants there today.
Then, having visited the station organized on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea and familiarizing themselves with the scientific research conducted by our scientists to solve the problems of this region, they once again became convinced that the sharp or variable exacerbation of climatic conditions cannot be an obstacle to conducting these scientific studies.
The next stop was the scientific research department of the Muynak State Forestry, where he familiarized himself with the measures being taken to improve the environment.
