DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES, MATHEMATICS, PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY
The Department of Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry began its activities on January 2, 2016 under the name of the Department of Higher Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Information Technology of the Nukus branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University in order to improve the structure of the industry system, based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 311 dated November 3, 2015 “On measures to further improve the provision of agriculture and water management sectors with highly educated personnel” and the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources № 238 dated November 5, 2015. The head of the department is Beglerbekov Rasul Dzhubatkhanovich, Doctor of Philosophy in technical sciences, PhD.
The Department of Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry is one of the most advanced departments of the Institute. Currently, the department employs 2 associate professors, 1 candidate of sciences, 1 senior lecturer and 10 assistants. Three of them graduated from universities included in the top 500 international rankings. The department employs 2 associate professors and 4 assistants part-time.
In the Department of Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry publishes textbooks, teaching aids and methodological manuals. To date, 2 textbooks, 5 teaching aids, 22 methodological manuals, as well as several articles in national and international journals have been published.
The department has established joint work with the National University of Uzbekistan, the Karakalpak Hydrometeorological Department, the Chimbay Academic Lyceum at the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology. In addition, an exchange of experience is conducted with universities included in the top 1000 of the international ranking. In particular, the teachers of our department, Associate Professor S. Umarova and Assistant G. Saparniyazova, improved their qualifications at the Kazakhstan National Agrarian Research University from October 2 to November 1, 2024.
Also, our department’s assistant D. Babanazarov studied English in more depth within the C5+O.N.E (Opening Networks through English) project organized by the US Embassy in Uzbekistan, and as a result of the project, he took part in a conference that was held in Kazakhstan in September 2024. He also took part in a short-term training course on “Geoinformation Systems” organized by the German organization GIZ within the framework of the “ECO-ARAL” project on May 23-28, 2022 in Berlin and Bonn, Germany. In addition, assistant A. Kdirbaev took part in the “XIV International Conference on Photonics and Information Optics”, which was held on January 29-31, 2025 at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI in Moscow, Russian Federation.
