In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) ” and the Resolution of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 18, 2025 No. PS-100-V, it is determined that measures will be taken to raise awareness of the population, including young people, about the regulatory legal acts adopted jointly with representatives of state bodies and institutions and non-governmental non-profit organizations, as well as to solve problems raised by citizens through mobile receptions on the ground in cooperation with representatives of territorial state bodies.
On this basis, on May 20, the “Ombudsman School” event on the topic “Guarantees for the Protection of the Rights and Legitimate Interests of Youth in New Uzbekistan” was organized among the student youth of the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, as well as a “Mobile Reception of the Ombudsman” to study student appeals.
The visiting reception was opened and led by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work of our institute, M. Davletmuratov. Then the Regional Representative of the Authorized Representative of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) in the Republic of Karakalpakstan Zh.Shlymbetov, responsible employee of the Main Directorate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Karakalpakstan A.Madiyarov.
K. Sadikov, Head of Department at the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and D. Kuljanov, Head of Department at the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, spoke.
The speakers provided valuable information to the participants about the opportunities created by the state for young people today, measures being taken to further improve the system of studying and solving youth problems, the procedure for allocating educational loans from budget funds to students and pupils of higher and professional educational institutions, as well as about ensuring employment of graduates of higher educational institutions and creating jobs. At the end of the meeting, the participants received appropriate answers to their questions from industry representatives.
