A student from Japan’s Tohoku University, ranked 113th in the world, is studying at the Karakalpakstan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies.
Bekpolat Tajimuratov, a 3rd-year doctoral student at the Department of “Agrochemistry and Soil Science” of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Plant Protection of the Karakalpakstan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, and Yuhara Yume, a student at the University of Tohoku in Japan, are conducting research on the agrochemical properties, pH balance, and salinity of the soil on the dried seabed of the Aral Sea.
On the basis of academic exchange, students of foreign universities contribute to raising the prestige of the higher educational institution. At the same time, it will lead to an improvement in the personal reputation of professors and teachers.

📌 An online meeting was held today between the coordinator of Japan’s OISCA international organization and students of the Karakalpakstan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies.
The meeting was attended by the coordinators of the international organization OISCA of Japan, Yuna Aoyama (student of the University of Agriculture and Technology of Tokyo), Yume Yuhara (student of the University of Tokyo), Marin Nagai (student of the University of Chiba), Timur Boranbayev and Bekpolat Tajimuratov (doctoral student of KAXAI).
📌 The purpose of the meeting: Japan’s OISCA international organization presented on the work being carried out in Karakalpakstan, the opportunities and opportunities created for Japanese students, and the opportunities for Karakalpak students to gain knowledge and experience in Japan.
In accordance with the agreement between the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies and the University of Tokyo, Japan, scientific research is currently being conducted on the study of groundwater in the conditions of Karakalpakstan. Bekpo’lat Tajimuratov, a 3rd-year basic doctoral student specializing in agrochemistry, and Yume Yuhara, a 3rd-year student, are currently collecting groundwater samples from the districts. The work to be done with Professor Makino was agreed upon. In the future, scientific work between Uzbekistan and Japan will continue.
