On June 24, 2025, a seminar-training was organized at the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies in cooperation with the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on the topic “Eco-certification opens the way to the world market.”
The seminar-training was attended by clusters producing organic agricultural products, farms and owners of household plots, the institute’s faculty, and responsible specialists.
The main goal of the event is to exchange knowledge and experience on the importance of obtaining an eco-certificate and the proper organization of practices in the process of growing organic products. During the seminar, detailed information was provided on the advantages of producing environmentally friendly products, organic certification systems, and certification processes necessary to enter the global market.
According to data provided by representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), environmental agricultural certification contributes to increasing the competitiveness of products in the global market. As a result, farmers will have the opportunity to successfully sell their products not only in the domestic market but also in Europe, Asia, and other regions.
