Under the guidance of professors and lecturers from the “Humanities and Languages” Department, an event was organized with the participation of first-year students from the Faculties of Agrotechnology and Forestry, and Animal Science, to mark the 689th anniversary of Amir Temur’s birth.

 Amir Temur (1336–1405) was a great commander, statesman, and the founder of the Timurid dynasty. He lived in the 14th century and established one of the greatest empires of his time. His governance was based on strict order and justice. His motto, “Power is in justice,” formed the foundation of his state policy. Amir Temur made a tremendous contribution to the development of science and culture. He transformed Samarkand, the capital of his empire, into one of the most beautiful and advanced cities in the world.

 During the event, teachers provided detailed information about Amir Temur’s life, his wisdom in governance, military campaigns, and his contributions to the development of science and culture. Quiz activities and Q&A sessions were conducted in English and Karakalpak.

 Students were also informed about the relevance of the motto “Power is in justice” for today’s youth. Historical facts and his literary works were discussed during the event, helping students enrich their knowledge and feel a stronger sense of national pride and patriotism.
