Chinese scientists and students at the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies

As part of the “Summer School-2026” program, representatives from leading Chinese scientific institutions—CRAES and the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research—visited our institute.

During the meeting, which took place from September 2 to 5, 2026, guests were briefed on the institute’s educational directions, its position in international rankings, and promising projects. Chinese scientists and students familiarized themselves with the activities of the educational and scientific laboratory established with the support of GIZ, the “Agrochemistry and Soil Science” laboratories, as well as laboratories for the storage and processing of agricultural products, and research conducted on the problems of soil salinization in the Aral Sea region.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a memorandum of strategic cooperation starting from the 2026-2027 academic year. Based on this memorandum, an exchange of students, master’s students, and young researchers will be established over the next 5 years.
