The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Republican Scientific Agricultural Library and Tashkent State Agrarian University, held a Republican scientific and practical conference on May 21st, “Love for Books – Respect for Librarians in New Uzbekistan,” dedicated to “Librarians’ Day.”

 The scientific-practical conference was attended online by the rector of the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, B. Zhollibekov, along with the vice-rectors of the institute, the staff of the information resource center, and a number of professors and teachers.

  The scientific and practical conference was opened with an introductory speech by the Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture E.Abdualimov, and today there are more than 12 thousand information and library institutions in our Republic. Information and resource centers operate in the Republican Scientific Agricultural Library under the Ministry of Agriculture, 9 higher educational institutions, and 21 research institutions. I wish success in the work of today’s seminar and all our librarians, and good luck in their hard work,” the advisor to the minister said in his opening remarks.
  After the conclusion of the scientific-practical conference, the rector of our institute spoke and congratulated our librarians who are working tirelessly in our library on today’s holiday, emphasizing that he highly appreciates their services in increasing book lovers in our institute. Every sincere work is highly appreciated, and our institute has awarded our librarians with material gifts and letters of appreciation.
