Today, September 14, 2025, Mr. Yingming Yang, Vice President for South, Central and West Asia of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and ADB representatives – Director General of the Central and West Asia Department Leah Gutierrez, Senior Sector Director for Human and Social Development Ayako Inagaki, and Director of the ADB Representative Office in Uzbekistan Kanokpan Lao-Araya visited the Republic of Karakalpakstan on a working visit.

 As part of the business trip, the guests took part in a conference held at the experimental site of the Scientific-Production Association of Grain and Rice, located in the Nukus district. At the event, detailed information was presented on the activities of the association and the results achieved.

 At the conference, a sincere dialogue was also held with farmers and scientists who contribute to the development of agriculture. During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation, implementing new projects, and introducing innovative approaches in the field of agriculture.

 The visit of representatives of the Asian Development Bank to Karakalpakstan is significant because it serves to strengthen international cooperation on the path of reforms being implemented in our country and sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
