The main goals of International Mother Language Day are:

Preserving Languages: Preserving 90% of the world’s more than 6,000 languages in a situation where they are at risk of extinction.

Multilingualism: Encouraging the study of other languages alongside the native language in education and society.

In this regard, a literary evening was held at the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization and Water resources in cooperation with “Department of Humanities and Language” English language teachers and first-year students. During the evening, teachers provided information about the history of the origin of the native languages of the peoples of the world. Students of different nationalities sang songs in their native languages. At the end of the event, active participants were presented with gifts.
