A memorandum was signed with the University of Urmia.
In recent years, a number of measures have been taken in the higher education system of our country to work with reputable universities in foreign countries, establish scientific contacts and open joint faculties.
The Nukus branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University, which currently works with higher educational institutions of Great Britain, China, Russia, Poland, Latvia, Vietnam, Iran, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and a number of international organizations in Germany, held another online meeting with the leadership of another large university in AZia – the University of Urmia.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, management and professors of the Nukus branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
The meeting was attended by Rector of Urmia University Rahim Hobbenagi and Director of the Research Institute of Artemia and Aquaculture of the University, Professor Nasser Ag, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran B. Abdullaev, Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Karakalpakstan A. Kamalov, who told the participants about the purpose of the meeting and the tasks ahead.
The event was attended by the director of the Nukus branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University, Professor E. Toreniyazov, who told his Iranian colleagues about the current life of the branch, the conditions created for professors and teachers, and the tasks facing the branch.
Director General for Production, Trade and Industry of the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran Gulammyrza Babai spoke at the meeting about his plans to attract Iranian investors to Karakalpakstan.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Nukus branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University and Urmia University, as well as plans for the future.
