On August 12, 2022, representatives of the GIZ German International Cooperation Organization of the Federal State of Germany, Jorg Pudelka, Joachim Fritz, Beata Schorait, Paul Schumacher and Michael Wimmer, a representative of the German Embassy in Tashkent, as well as Alisher Kurbonov, coordinator of the project of supporting economic reforms and sustainable development in the regions of Uzbekistan (NaWi), Yulian Felten and Ayzada Uzakhbaeva, employees of the Eco-oriented Regional Development of the Aral Sea region (ECO-Aral) project, came and got acquainted with the work carried out within the framework of the projects at our institute and the laboratories of the fisheries department.

During the meeting, vice-rector for educational affairs N. Absattarov spoke about the works carried out during the 2-year cooperation with the GIZ organization and the effective work being carried out in the field of fisheries, and expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the GIZ organization.

Kaliknazarova Almagul, a 1st-year doctoral student of the specialty of “Hydrobiology”, the Faculty of Zooengineering, gave information about her scientific work on the cultivation of Artemia in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and her short-term scientific internship in Vietnam as part of the ECO-Aral project and introduced her practical work in the laboratory of the Department of Fisheries.

The representatives of the GIZ German International Cooperation Organization got acquainted with the laboratories of the Department of Fisheries, the equipment brought to the laboratory, and at the end of the meeting, they expressed their gratitude that they visited our institute and were introduced to the work carried out here.
