The Japanese experience in silkworm education of our institute has been studied
A meeting was held with the participation of Rector of the Institute E.To’reniyazov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation B.Jollibekov and Professor of Japan Agricultural University Dr.Makoto IIKUBO
During the meeting, the Japanese representative introduced himself and spoke about the upcoming work on the development of silk production, including cooperation with our institute.
As it was noted at the meeting, today cocoons are produced in more than 60 countries. “Silver fiber” is produced in more than 20 countries.
In this respect, Chinа is in 1st place, India in 2nd place, and the Uzbeks in 3rd place.
The Japanese scientist said that he is aware of the development of silk farming in Uzbekistan and noted that he intends to make a small contribution to the development of silk farming in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, based on his experience in this field.
At the same time, he told us that he had brought a variety of mulberry silkworm from Japan and brought it for cultivation and reproduction here, as well as about creating new varieties under Karakalpakstan conditions.
During the meeting, it was agreed that the Japanese professor would teach students at the institute, conduct laboratory work with them, study the composition of mulberry leaves, and create new varieties of silkworms.
