With the participation of students and teachers from the Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnology a trip was organised to familiarise themselves with the results of the socio-economic reforms being carried out in Muynak district and to study the history of Muynak district and the Aral Sea.
On the first day of the trip the teachers and students of the institute visited the mausoleum of great Suleiman Bakirgani and familiarized themselves with the improvement works carried out here. Among Turkic peoples, Seleiman Bakirgani, recognized sage after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, left valuable information about his life, good deeds and legacy.
The next point of the trip was the Aral Sea History Museum where students viewed exhibits related to the history of the Aral Sea and watched a film about the Aral Sea.
Afterwards, students visited the ship cemetery complex and got acquainted with exhibits and materials related to the history of ships that witnessed the times when the sea was full.
During the visit to Muynak district, a meeting took place between the deputies of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, senators, Jokargy Kenes deputies of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, ministry representatives, rectors and directors of higher educational institutions and representatives of the Muynak district’s Emergency Ministry in the military district.
The Rector of the Institute Professor E.Sh. Torenyazov participated in the meeting and presented “Certificates of Honour” and souvenirs to representatives of MES who contributed to planting saxaul in the arid zone of the Aral Sea.
