History of the Department «Foreign Language»

      As part of the Nukus branch of the Tashkent State Agrarian University, the department began its activities in 2003 by the name of the «Karakalpak language and foreign languages».

In 2003-2010, Candidate of Philological Sciences K.Allanazarov worked as the head of the department. Since 2010, the Department of “Languages and Exact Disciplines” has been organized on the basis of the departments of «Karakalpak language and Foreign languages» and «Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Information Technology».

Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, docent T. Nurekeev worked, as the head of the department in 2010-2013, and Candidate of Philological Sciences N.Karimkhodjaev in 2013-2014.

In accordance with the new structure of the branch, approved on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan №311 dated November 3, 2015 «On measures to further improve the provision of the system of agriculture and water management by highly qualified specialists», the Department of «Languages and Exact Disciplines» was reorganized into the Department of  «Karakalpak, Uzbek and Foreign languages».

In accordance with the new structure of the branch, approved on the basis of PD 3704 of 2018 on May 8 «On measures to further improve the provision of the training system by highly qualified specialists», the Department of «Karakalpak, Uzbek and Foreign languages» was reorganized into the Department of «Languages».

In accordance with the new structure of the branch, approved on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan №311 dated November 3, 2015 «On measures to further improve the provision of the system of agriculture and water management by highly qualified specialists», the Department of «Languages and Exact Disciplines» was reorganized into the Department of  «Karakalpak, Uzbek and Foreign languages».

 To date, the head of the department is the Candidate of Philological Sciences, docent M.Abdullaev.

The department maintains constant contacts with other higher educational institutions and leading scientific centers of the republic.

Future plans of the department

1. Periodic continuation of the preparation and publication of textbooks and teaching aids of the department;
2. Organization of special preparatory English courses for students.
3. Conducting research on the following topics;

Pedagogical bases of forming English speaking abilities in primary education system;

Scientific and practical relations of  the department.

3. Karakalpak Scientific Research Institute of Humanities, Karakalpak branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
