Vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations of Karakalpak Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies number of collaborative results were achieved as part of B.Jollibekov’s visit to the state of Japan on
31-7 August 2023.

On August 2, a meeting was held with Japanese Maizuru Mayor Kamoda Akitsu, Maizuru City Hall industrialization department head Kojima Hiroshi, Maizuru city hall industrialization department head Yamamoto Hitoshi, Maizuru City International Relations Department hodimi Ahmedov Asilbek, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology professor Kawabata Yoshiko in Maizuru. During the meeting, the issues of growing tea in cooperation were discussed. The very high level of tea production in Maizuru has been discussed in detail, as well as the work and experiments carried out on the cultivation of these tea varieties in Uzbekistan, as well as expanding cooperation in the future. During the visit, the production of tea in Maizuru Shahri was introduced to the fact that it is very widely established and the world-famous and high-quality tea production and production processes produced on the basis of high technologies.

In the fields where tea is grown, experts were interviewed mainly with the agrotechnologists of planting 5 different varieties, 60-year-old kochats and growing newly planted 4-month-old kochats. The next day of the visit, on the date of August 3, a visit was made to the Tokyo University of Rural Energy and technology and a meeting was organized with young scientists from the Tashkent State Agrarian University, who are studying there and improving their qualifications. In particular, at the place of reference, the base doctoral student of Medicinal Plant Introduction, cultivation technology and agropharmecology of Tashkent State Agrarian University, Aqseytov Janbolat, has been training at the OISCA organization, located in Ayakawa, Japan, since March 15, 2023. He is familiarizing himself with foreign experiments by testing in practice his theoretical knowledge of the cultivation, storage and processing of medicinal and spice plants.

   And in early 2020, Nizamov Sherzod, assistant of the Department of Agriculture and melioration of the Faculty of Agrobilology of Tashkent State Agrarian University, became the absolute winner of the competition in the program “agricultural networks-2020” (Agri-net 2020) in order to ensure food security of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JDS) and successfully defended his PhD thesis by studying on a grant at the doctoral stage of Tokyo agricultural and Technology University. Then on August 4, A.Abduvasikov is the dean of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Professor Dr. Ryo held a meeting with FUNADA.

   In the course of the meeting, the dean of the University made good comments in the circle of young scientists who are studying from Uzbekistan and have defended their PhD and master’s dissertations at a high level. A number of issues on bilateral cooperation and opening of joint educational programs, exchange of professors and doctoral students were considered between universities, and it was agreed that the necessary documents would be signed. After a meeting with the dean of the faculty, the Tokyo University of Agriculture and technology was introduced to experimental agriculture and the scientific experiments carried out in it.

Such practical work carried out within the framework of international cooperation serves to ensure the education of student youth in foreign experiences and increase the prestige of the University.
